Overview
The front windscreen does more than keep the weather out. It is bonded to the body of the vehicle and helps hold the shape of the cabin, so it needs to be fitted properly rather than quickly.
When we replace a front windscreen we remove the damaged glass, clean back the frame, prepare the bonding surface and fit the new windscreen using the correct adhesive for your vehicle. Wipers, cowling and trims come off and go back on as part of the job.
We work on the full range of everyday vehicles, from small hatchbacks through to large four wheel drives and vans. If you are not sure what your vehicle needs, send us a photo of the damage and we will tell you.
Cracks tend to grow with temperature changes and road vibration. Once one reaches the driver’s field of view, replacement is usually the sensible option.
A stone thrown up by a truck or another vehicle can leave a break that is too large or too deep to leave alone.
Impact damage, an attempted break in or a heavy knock can leave the glass broken through. The vehicle should not be driven far in that condition.
Years of sand and grit can leave the glass hazy, which is most noticeable driving into low sun or at night.
On the day
We attend your home, workplace or another suitable agreed location with the glass and equipment for the job. We need reasonable access around the front of the vehicle and, where possible, somewhere out of heavy rain and direct wind. A driveway, carport, car park bay or workplace yard is usually fine. We will let you know how long the adhesive needs before the vehicle can be driven.

We need the make, model and year, the type of damaged glass, your suburb and a photo of the damage where possible. Registration details are sometimes needed to match the correct glass.
Once the details are confirmed we agree a time and location, attend the vehicle, complete the work and check the finished fit before we leave.
